Since my dive log was stolen and I found out how usefully having this page up was (i.e. I can recreate a usefully log out of it) I am now going to put more information about the dives that I do in here (i.e. in and out psi's)

August 15 1999 (Dive number 16)

Manta ray Bay, CAL
39 minutes at 41 feet

On the beach before the dive I could see 2 sea otters out in the kelp
Upon entering the water this is what I saw (the visibility was 0 down to ~35 feet then it improved so that we could see a 1 foot or 2 in front of us)
Lots and Lots of Kelp
Lots schools of fish
Some red sea plants that totally covered an anchor that was down there
a rear sea smart
in the sand at the bottom there were many holes in the sand, the guide said they belonged to inn-keeper worms

Starting PSI 2100
PSI out 500

August 15 1999 (Dive number 16)

Manta ray Bay, CAL
37 minutes at 45 feet

This dive was not one of my best. To start with before I got geared up for this dive, I drooped my dive watch and the crystal broke. An on the dive at about 45 feet I had a sudden surge of pain in my left ear (the was no feeling of pressure build up, it was a surprise to me) and the pain I later found out was my ear drum being popped, creating a temporary hole in it. I used up my air to fast and had to use the guides emergence regulator (hopefully I will never have to use a emergence regulator again). Now for the stuff I did see.

I saw 3 distance types of kelp
I saw a shrimp
There where several large fish

Starting PSI 2200
PSI out 250 minus the amount of air I used from the guides tank

As of 8/22/99 I have spent a total of 10:10 under water.
I have not done any diving in a long time this is something I would like to correct soon.
